This site is for young people to feel like they can get involved in politics. When I was a sophomore in high school President Barack Obama inspired me to get involved, and from that day forward I knew that I had to step up to the plate. Often teenagers and young adults don't feel like they have an input in politics , but that is so wrong! So I use this site to show African American young people what is happening in the world and to show them that there is a way to get involved. I also try to bring about things that can interest young people. It is my hope that others can feel empowered by the things that are happening in this world and know that we are ALL an agent of change.
My goals for this website
- Young people get more involved in their community, and world.
- Young people would feel a sense of efficacy .
- Young people will hold governmental offices.
- Young people specifically african americans will have a voice in the government.
Although these goals are broad I personally have done all of these and if I can do it then we all can do it. The reason why black communities are not seeing change is because generation after generation the blacks in these communities voices are not heard. Therefore this website is ultimately to be used for all of us to know that Together We Stand .
